‘Nature’ EP is an experimentation into back-tobasics, electroacoustic production techniques. Old and obscure samples sit beside self programmed drum patterns. Studio recorded vocals and percussion combine to create a very real and organic energy that emulates that of nature and life itself.
1. Skin and Bone [original mix] – Phil Kieran
Get truly lost in music with this pulsing percussive track. Randomly arranged around complex drum patterns, hard to find samples from 1950s soundlabs are used to create a rich and thought provoking journey through eerie sliding doors, chanting crowds and carnivals. This is one for the DJs – true dancefloor deliverance.
2. Natural Response [original mix] – Phil
Kieran
One xylophone, one vocalist, one drum set and a whole lotta reworking has resulted in this wholly original piece of house music. A deep feel good track featuring hypnotic harmonies and loose drumbeats, with not a sample in sight.
3. Ladybird [original mix] – Phil Kieran
This is inspired from childhood memories of collecting ladybirds. A playful piece, bursting with soundsparks sprinkled through warm melodies and rich layering . Pulls at the heart strings and will suit deeper DJ sets, warm ups, cool downs and all back to mines.
