Irradiation’s music features transparency, dark vibes, sophisticated sounds, and unconventional arrangements. Lucid gloom – what seems to be an antagonism just fits perfectly here.

A transforming bass line characterizes the title track Catharsis as well as her vocals that she loves to multiply and pitch down – electronic funk both unleashed and organized by a variety of percussive elements.

All three remixes by Bruno Pronsato, Rraw, and Heinz Seidenbusch pick up on the singing. Pronsato extends it to a duet between colleagues in an almost 20 minute minimalist jazz session. Rraw, on the other hand, chops the voice up, reminds us of glitch, keeps it mysterious and very funky. Seidenbusch uses cut-ups as well – his remix swings in an incredibly lighthearted and charming manner.

Contraction pitilessly aspires to psychedelic realms, synth pads emphasize the spooky atmosphere and eventually a strange creature from an ice-cold and far-off galaxy talks to us. Monster!

Absorption is hypnotic induction. You don’t even have to focus on rotating spirals – the variations and modulations of the main theme and the seductive rhythm will easily disintegrate common space-time dimensions.
