2016 saw Drumcomplex release their album Perfection is in Imperfection which included a powerful and heavy collaboration with Border Community’s Misstress Barbara (Intec Records | Tronic Records).

The brothers Arnd and Daniel Reichow are joined again by Misstress Barbara on BUSH4055 and bring back to the attention the killer If You Can’t Be Mine track, that’s being treated with 3 other great remixes.

If You Can’t Be Mine EP starts off with the original track on which the unassuming simplicity of the vocals is being counterbalanced by grindy synths and intense dark undertones. Next up Kaiserdisco changes a bit the mood with rapid percussions and enlivening rhythms, but still keeping in forefront the sonorous vocals of Mistress Barbara.

Roel Salemink and Brooke Powell’s remix brings the attention of the listener from the dancefloor to a space of moody introspection and minimalism, while GNTN’s remix brings back in the dynamic factor while building up momentum and then flawlessly concluding this electrifying trip.
