Spearheaded by music aficionado Vincent Beckmann, Hamburg-based Nobiz records was founded in 2016 as a home to digital releases bridging various melodic electronic realms. Having debuted with the label head’s “Because I Want You To Love” EP, Nobiz is now at its fourth release, put together by the duo Sonantis. Much like their moniker, Sonantis showcases a straightforward melodic belter in the form of their track “Resist“ accompanied by three reworks.

Deep and melodic atmospheres intertwine in title track, as the producers layer different textures on a backdrop of upbeat percussion. An uplifting melody at its best, it aptly strikes the balance between melancholic depths and mellifluous loops.

Visionquest and Jeudi Records alum Javier Orduna offers up a first reinterpretation, channeling his soulful and groovy production style. What results is an overly tense ambiance, that manages to stir up and mesmerize at the same time.

Vincent Beckmann shows his seal of approval and takes Resist up a notch, crafting a dynamic piece packed with buzzing synths. Much like the producer’s initial release on the label, his rework carries a deep introspective mark, making it great for late night antics.

UK duo Remoda provide their Reflective Frequency Mix, turning Resist into a laid back piece with an intrinsic optimistic vibe. Stripping off several elements and adding their own energy-inducing zippy leads and airy pads, they manage to stay true to the title, as the piece reflects off positive frequencies all throughout.
