There is no exquisite beauty… without some strangeness in the proportion.” EAP

After the success of his album Control (Irregular 2014) that bought him the chance to perform at an infinite amount of festivals and events (We have to highlight his recorded show at Sónar 2015 or his concerts at concert halls like Razzmatazz and Dabadaba, festivals like BIME, Electrosplash, Manrusiónica, Peacock and his tours around Norway and Lithuania) and after a 2016 where he bought his music to the club terrain (City Hall, Input, Warehouse, etc.), in 2017 he’s back launching his very own label –Beautiful Accident-, with two EP’s where expresses himself with a hybrid language, halfway between the dancefloor and the melodic harmonies of a hypnotic ambience.

The first of the two EP’s ‘Imperfections Side’ introduces the alibi for both, an essay on the imperfections that surround us is the theme that leads and gives thread to this miniseries of works, where the artist models with an electronic chisel themes Which make up this first installment with punchy and warm synths, metallic distortions and deep kicks, and the always distant vocal presence, wrapped in manipulated reverbs that motivate imperfect artificial spaces.

The tracks:

The A side (Yes, both of the EP’s will be edited on a 10” vinyl) is an introduction into the world of imperfections with ‘God Is A Pad’, an evolving piece that was recorded entirely in real time, with two analog synth’s, one of them of course is a profound ‘Pad’ that evokes a nice ambience and the other a forceful bassline, adding to that a selection of modular synths on the effects side of things.

Next up we have ‘Twisted Pictures’, a more dynamic track, with a strong aroma of the dancefloor, a 4/4 with one of them club vibes that make it hard to look at something and focus, everything seems blurry and out of place, this is where the artist wants to bring us before we flip the vinyl over.

Opening up the B side ‘Imperfections Side’, the track that lends it’s name to the EP, we’re still in dancefloor mode but this time with more pop influences, vocals that mark the beat, reverbs that wrap around you and make you let go and enjoy the imperfections of life, always looking for the silver lining.

The EP closes with ‘End Of File’, an ode to the programmed loops, a retro era that’s been forgotten, there’s just one last question that hasn’t been answered, the arpeggios guide us, but is it really the end?
