Carl Cox is an industry figurehead who’s legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

Following recent releases from Nicole Moudaber, Stephan Hinz and Elio Riso the new release is from Tomy DeClerque.

Tomy DeClerque is a Slovenian DJ at the forefront of the country’s electronic music scene, who is known globally for his hulking Techno productions and charismatic DJ style.

His music has features on labels including Toolroom, Phobiq, 1605, Blu Fin and Mauro Picotto’s label Alchemy, plus he has also collaborated with the likes of UMEK.

One of the Intec mainstays, this will be the twelfth time Tomy DeClerque has featured music on Carl Cox’s much famed imprint.

“Makarona” centres around dark atmospherics brought to life by drum rolls and bursts of explosive percussion. The offbeat lead synth jerks and lurches the groove forward over the rolling bass foundation, making this track an enthralling white knuckle ride. Fast and furious, this peak time Techno track takes no prisoners and packs a real punch.

“The New” starts with mechanical rhythms that rotate like the engine of a heavy duty machine. Rising pads build tension whilst pitched drums answer in call and response patterns. Overcast and menacing, the intensity builds as the track progresses and grows with ferocity. Trapped in its captivating glare, this Techno monster is perhaps best described as being “The belly of the beast!”
