Just Jack are back again with 4 tracks of dopeness, courtesy of Cocoon’s first lady – Dana Ruh. On the A side, Dana provides 3 cuts, of deep, dreamy house. Whilst on the flip – Chicago’s, Steven Tang steps up on remix duties under his ‘Obsolete Music Technology’ moniker, Tang’s squelchy acid remix is only available on wax!

The Bristol based collective known for putting on some of the best parties around are back with their 8th vinyl which see’s them once again putting their educated ears to great use to continue a series that has seen huge records from Mr G, Beesmunt Soundsystem among others, and as usual they haven’t missed a beat.

Dana graces this record with 3 original’s that sit perfectly between sonic lushness and a heavy rhythmic workout. Opening up with Solutions, crisp drums counter dusty chords as Dana leads this track in and out of its hypnotic wonderland.

This Journey keeps the narrative similar to the opener, but this time with a much deeper heart, slightly harsher, cutting percussion whip and punctuate this track allowing the brooding chord progression to breathe. For the small hours.

As we flip the record Steve Tang delivers his hypnotic acid laden remix of This Journey under his ‘Obsolete Music Technology’ moniker. A softer rendition of the original in some ways. Steve really does make this an epic journey of love and bliss whilst all the time the squelchy acid marches on.

Dana finishes up with A AG Again. A minimal strut comprised of fantastic percussive programming lays the bed for Dana to put down another beautiful chord progression finishing the EP as strong as it started.
