Amsterdam’s Robin Fett joins New Violence with his Roots EP following his outing on remix duties last year for the UK based label. With previous releases gracing the likes of Moan and Loot, the young Dutchman is a producer with a glowing reputation for chunky underground house & techno.

First up we have Roots a lovely mix of dubby, dark stabs and thick, muscular percussion that build effortlessly to light filled breaks and disembodied voices. before you’re forced to get that head back down and into the groove.

Next up is D.A.N.I. and once again we’re treated to some dubby industrial percussion and sounds paired with trippy vocal snippets. Minimal & tough, this is a winner.

Techno heavyweight Fabio Neural steps up for remix duties on D.A.N.I. The Italian has released on labels such as Truesoul, Ovum, Intec & Sci-Tec and here delivers a trademark drum heavy workout. Making full use of the vocal he adds atmosphere and keeps it simple, creating the perfect dance floor storm.

The EP closes with Oscuro a much techier affair marrying Robin’s trademark drums with a beautifully atmospheric vocal. Perfect for early sets.
