Rome’s Goa Club first choice Simona Calvani AKA DJ Red debuts on Darko Esser’s Wolfskuil Limited series with “Raw Cacao EP”, following her brilliant “Underwater” EP on Speedy J’s Electric Deluxe imprint, last summer.

Subsequent to Shlømo’s stomper ‘Vanished Breath EP’, the limited series of its parent Dutch Wolfskuil imprint delivers a good showcase of DJ Red’s refined, personal touch on one side, then altered in its basics within Ricardo Villalobos’ unique sensitiveness on the other.

‘Raw Cacao’ opens the EP with a finely crafted production, which maintains its addictive groove and sensual attitude throughout the track, while on the filp side the mighty Ricardo Villalobos keeps working his magic on the rendition of DJ Red’s original cut, offering a standout, lush remix that is hypnotic, atmospheric and playful, all in equal measures.
