DJ Tennis releases new invigorating EP ‘Convex’ as part of the Polyester Series.

Following on from a set of highly renowned releases in 2014, DJ Tennis announces an impressive EP to coincide with a summer of highly anticipated live dates. Still focusing on bringing “dead elements” back to life, ‘Convex’ shows progression and freshness, with an added dose of intensity.

Growing up in not so musical surroundings, Romano, later to be known as DJ Tennis defied all expectancies by embarking on his musical destiny. His influences come from a range of genres such as psychedelic and punk, which can be noted in the sounds he creates today. Building on an eclectic portfolio of contemporary techno, DJ Tennis created his own label ‘Life and Death’ in 2010, inspiring young musicians to follow in his footsteps.

Whilst still based between Miami and Berlin, songs such as ‘Last In First Out’ reflect this, with dark undertones brought to life through eclectic instrumentation. Meanwhile, ‘Punch Card’ Feat Sebra Cruz, livens the uniformity through unexpected melodic turns and title track ‘Convex’ feels entirely impulsive and captivating. Finale track ‘Zilog’ earns its place with a slow but immeasurable night to day finish.

‘Convex’ reveals a more soul-stepping vibe for those not ready to let go of the summer. Its interchangeability makes it the perfect anecdote for a change of the seasons, more than eligible to take over dance floors all over the world until the sun rises again.
