Miguel Mayen (MnCve) is a dj and producer from Ciudad De Guatemala. Now based in Denver, he’s making a name for himself delivering amazing tracks. He released on some well know labels and also remixed the track “Centurion” by Robert Babicz on his label BabiczStyle. His tracks can be found in a bunch of releases alongside the likes of Xpansul and Rick Wade, just to name a few.

He makes his debut on Catslovebass with six originals that will definitely leave a mark on the dance-floor. This released is named “Honey” in the loving memory of his beloved dog.
Artist, musician, urban poet and friend Don Kong aka Shizaru Aka Brandon Maher dropped down a few lines about MnCve tracks in this release.

A clean beat for cutting in is quickly softened with a blanket of laid-backness that keeps the tune elevated in warmth throughout . Appearing with a glass resonation, the funk bass steps in to set the tone before the first drop circular saws your attention for some contrastingly cool keys, a message to surrender to it all. The beat retreats from a solitary panoramic troubled tone that climbs in octaves before settling back into the easy groove tapped with a unique wood percussion. A lot of fragments with perfectly placed particles.

‘That place that i long for does not exist’ MnCve woefully announces. Undeterred by this evidence of absence, he searches on with a solid sub pulse of determination so right you could forget it is not your own. A rising dynamo fuels an animal drop accompanied by a banshee wail and the searching pulse continues. A beast of a tune.

The basics comes in urgent and meaning business. Cocky with justifiable confidence it leaves no corner to hide with wave after wave of rising sounds that leave you with no choice but to call the pest controller or dance like an exterminator on the infestation of popping rhythms. A beautifully contrived orchestration of the sound of space. Buckle up for some pure science faction. Darkness, turbulence and ominous threats of cosmic collisions. Relying on nothing more than MnCve at the controls and some serious C1 positivity. Yeah.
