Canadian DJ and producer Hobo signs and adds number 061 to the Spanish label Galaktika through this ‘Daydream EP’, which is managed and commanded from Barcelona by Maurice Aymard.

Both of the tracks on this first installement by french-speaking artist- who is a regular in strong labels such as M_nus, Diynamic, Hot Creations, Tronic or Mobilee- for the galaktik label takes a different approach towards more groovy, summery and dance floor oriented sounds, but keeping that very essence which is always a safe bet on contemporary electronic music.

Through the track that names the EP -’Daydream’- Hobo takes us on a journey full of arpeggio, happy and sensible tech-house, in where everything seems to be focused on making the audience dance. Its modern and vibrant rhythm frame dresses up in a mutant and progressive classic and sexy house outfit, which becomes the perfect tool to turn the dance floor upside down, for both morning and night sets.

Alternativily, ‘Specular’ darkens and hardens the tone, becoming closer to tech structures, insisting still on those playful arpeggios “signature of the Hobo’s house” in which a surgical synthezised melody builds up, stylishly. Moreover, its hypnotic and nocturnal bassline gives it an extra push to
the track in that very precise break, and in which the development of the rest of the night -and our lives?- depends on it. Dancing and tension at equal share.

All in all, Galaktika and this ‘Daydream EP’ -which supports the great sound of Hobo- show that in its music imaginery -that one which bets permanently on excellence, underground and electronic sensibility- there is plenty of room for more playful, colorful and festive proposals, as it should be.
