Whistleblower is a label founded by three music producing friends; Alan Fitzpatrick (Drumcode/Hotflush), Reset Robot (Truesoul/Cocoon) and Rhymos (Rumors/Murmur), whose roots lie in the close-knit electronic music scenes of Southampton and Portsmouth on the UK’s South Coast.

With their focus concentrated on both dancefloor dynamics and broader, more experimental horizons, Whistleblower allows the three founding members the opportunity to hybridise their creative influences and at times explore alternative creative avenues.

This new release is a one off and very special release where the Whistleblower team have joined forces with James Zabiela and his renound label Born Electric.

Many people will be more than familiar with the Born Electric hit track from Drewxhill titled “Bullets.” Its hauntingly beautiful vocals and emotive chords combine perfectly with low slung broken rhythms and it’s been supported globally by both club DJ’s and national radio shows.

The original release featured a remix pack including Stimming and ESS who each delivered individual remixes. This already epic remix pack now also includes an extra special remix by Alan Fitzpatrick, who has licensed the debut release of his version to Whistleblower.

Alan takes this remix as a chance to show off his deeper side and starts off by working the track into a four to the floor groove. Keeping all of the originals magic he lets the vocals lead the track and creates what can only be described as a mournful sense of euphoria. Adding a tense pad which builds suspense Alan is careful to avoid any extended breakdowns that could lose the dancefloor focus of this masterpiece. It’s not often that people mix emotional vocals with Techno but with this track leading by example, perhaps it’s something that should happen more often.
