Vega Records’ latest release ‘A New Day’ features the R&B legend and vocalist Caron Wheeler with remixes from the Master of House Louie Vega himself, Ron Trent, Timmy Regisford and Adam Rios.

This release follows on from Louie Vega’s latest album, ‘Louie Vega Starring…XXVIII’, which ambitiously features 25 artists on 28 different songs. The bridge between the album and ‘A New Day’ is the no.28. Vega made the number part of his brand and filled it with musical and artistic meaning.

‘A New Day’ starts with powerful spoken word by Soul 2 Soul’s own Grammy Winner Jazzie B speaking and chanting the no.28, describing it where freedom begins and where all of us can be independent thinkers, with more inspiring words courtesy of poet Desiree Meneces.

Chicago legend & native Ron Trent serves up a delectable deep house remix with more thump, bump, percussion, rhodes, piano and synths. Then comes in Timmy Regisford and Adam Rios with their ‘Shelter Vocal Mix’, which speaks for itself and lives up to the Shelter landmark name.
