Kaiserdisco have been incurring a ludicrous amount of hype recently but we think since the guys are doing their first album, there is enough reason for us to ad to it. Suffice to say that it´s fully deserved. Kaiserdisco are a bit of a phenomena. It is hardly imaginable that artists being categorised as “minimal artists” land top chart positions with every release they do. Kaiserdisco have done exactly that with almost every release. For some shocking… for others just a proof that they are very very good! The Kaiserdisco duo reveal on their brand new album a sound they are very proud of and which they have cultivated now through a dozen releases, most of them on their home base label. Minimal without being boring, trippy without being predictable, unafraid of melody, ethno sounds or vocals and with a sophisticated super strong production, this is the trademark of Kaiserdisco. As their name reveals, Kaiserdisco is about the disco, the club, the hysteria, the nightlife. It is about creating a good vibe, putting a smile on peoples face, making things happen. So here we are proud to release Kaiserdiscos album, “In No One´s Shadow”. 10 unreleased trax plus their biggest hits “Aquja” and “Carachillo” previously released on MBF, show maxi and album material for the first time on CD. Amazing sound design, funky and ear catching leads, coupled with sophisticated arrangement nuances make “In No One’s Shadow” a unique dance floor journey. The Album starts with the warm hearted “Tripping Lure” a Balearic break beat track that introduces wonderful string arrangements and vocal snippets making it a perfect opener for their album. “In No One’s Shadow” carries this feeling a step further, introducing a deep Latino flavoured house track with reminiscences to nostalgic New York house music, crediting the wild pitch sound as much as Crystal Waters or Armand van Helden. “Dance On The Moon” is a twisted Chicago flavoured tune, sci-fi funk influences working on the mental side of things reminding us of Green Velvet or Grand Detroit Pubahs. “Simplistix” is introducing the most “Kaiser” sounding track, playful, restless, full of joy with notes of haunting vocals. It nicely blends wild percussion, vocals and squawking synths into an action-packed, yet equally sublime journey. “Marie“ is another true “Kaiser“ tune storming heaven. Frankly this is what the duo is so famous four, uniting at least 4 different genres of music in such a skilful way that it leaves us with our mouth open… in amazement. Working with a killer house groove, wild pitch sounds, spaced-out breaks & intervals & effects, sensual vocal … Well we could go on and on… “Legal Weapon” has more in common with their techno inspired trax. More static in sound restricted to less parameters and rougher than most of their material on this album. For the die hard fans of Kaiserdisco this will be a well appreciated club tool. “You & Me” unfurls as a deep soulful piece of loungy house music with vocals from Patrick Buck, whereas “Carachillo” uses native Indian sing-a-long chant choruses, sitar sounds and making it one of the mellow but true Kaiserdisco tracks. “Hickup” installs a great portion of understatement in the beginning but step by step builds up and transforms itself into an peak time uplifting jack track, hysteric and energetic. Kaiserdisco´s biggest hit so far follows, “Aguja”. A true masterpiece of an epic builder, heavy with bass, tripped out effects, crazy vocal treatments and plenty of trademark and teasing climaxes. A track daring and at the same time extremely effective and powerful, which has lead to enthusiastic feedbacks by Tiefschwarz, Format:B, Len Faki, Technasia, Joseph Capriati just to name a few. So it had to be on the album. “Holding Up My Life” is a more personal track for Patrick who is also singing on this one, a bit of a New Wave track on the heels of New Order for some, for others an emotional electro house track. With “Djuma Of Love” something special is unfurling here. This is a perfect closing track for their album. Taking in strong reminiscences to some of the classic German dance tunes from the 90ies fused with new influences, this is a track for those who know
