Cihan Mareno is an electronic music producer currently recording for Ella Unique records. His sound is textural, minimal and dense, as showcased within his latest release, titled “One Mind EP”.

The release, labeled ELL008 features two singles, including “Switch” and “Called Addiction”. The opening number unfolds steadily with some mesmerising beat patterns getting more and more articulate over a sweeping landscape of ambient synths that add depth and momentum to the song.

The powerful old school bass synth takes the spotlight soon after the song’s intro, driving the music’s steady and direct flow. The core intensity of the song seamlessly fades out, in order to leave room for the second track to shine.

“Called Addiction” features an even more upbeat and gritty beat that slightly reminds me of jazz, jungle and fusion influences, while retaining the unmistakable techno feel and aesthetic coordinates.

The song blends in the busy beat with some old-fashion synth sounds that blink an eye to old school techno music, particularly the “laser-like” zap leads and the melting bass lines.
