The Master of House, Louie Vega joins forces with fellow NYC cohort Cassio Ware to release ‘Just The Way I Like It’, a masterpiece for the lovers and shameless romantics.
Cassio’s vocals lace the track with energy and movement, as his sonorous spoken word plays big brother to Vega’s sultry and bouncy production. He echoed what everyone says about spending time with Louie in the lab, “With Louie, you have to be on your P’s and Q’s! He is a perfectionist and he will definitely let you know what he does and doesn’t like. He always wants to make the best art possible and will spend the time to make sure every part of the song sounds perfect.”
As far as the origin of the song, Ware shares his secret inspiration, “The song was based on a fantasy, of winning the affection of a bartender at NYC’s Club Cielo. I told her that I was going to win her affection and get her from behind the bar so we could dance. She smiled. The next day I was in the studio and reflected on the situation in the song. Now the world knows.” Cassio begins big talking, but as his attempts at seduction start to pay off, a bombardment of female vocals and suggestive ad libs performed by Heather Walker & Adrienne Sykes take over. Our protagonist has no shortage of honey words, rolling off his tongue to make dents in his lady’s shield of disbelief. Every word gets them closer to romance.
90s house music star Cassio Ware first branched off into his solo career when he teamed up with B.O.P. Productions producer Paul Scott and worked alongside 80s supergroup Blaze, who are responsible for his underground success in music with huge hits such as, ‘My Baby Love’ and ‘Funky People’. His lengthy and fruitful career has seen him work alongside a list of top producers including godfather of house, Chip. E.
