Needwant follow VIMES’ (Azhar Syed & Julian Stetter) latest single ‘Mind’ by releasing a stunning ‘Reprise’ version plus two acid induced reworks from highly sought after remixers Tuff City Kids (Gerd Janson & Lauer). The release also follows ‘Celestial (Reprise)’ which was released on Needwant last year featuring a Gardens Of God remix.

VIMES have announced ‘Mind’ is to be released in January on Humming Records/Rough Trade. The track comes from debut album ‘Nights In Limbo’ produced by Jochen Naaf (Xul Zolar, Hundreds) released on February 12th 2016.

The band describe ‘Mind’ as being about, ‘things you despise and still can’t live without, due to the fact you are actually made up of them. It narrates how gazing into the looking glass can reveal weaknesses. The chorus is a complete turnaround and calls out to everything you’d ever want to be, to something or someone flawless.’

VIMES releases to date have included ‘Upstairs’, ‘Celestial’ and ‘Ential’, the latter both ending up in The Top 10 tracks most blogged about on Hype Machine and also resulted in remixes for Josef Salvat, a live session with Chilly Gonzales, tour support for Hot Chip and performances at SXSW and The Great Escape.
