Lucidflow favourite Yapacc a member of Perlon affiliated outfit Narcotic Syntax – returns to the imprint, following up last years emphatic collaborative effort with Sashanti and Mescalito. Here, teaming up with Italian born Ricky Erre Love (Desolat), on the Jetstream EP, we see the producer exploring his subtle, deep and hypnotic side.

Jetstream takes its time to unfold, confident in its ability to scoop you up for the duration and pay off in kind. The aforementioned payoff is far from your turgid EDM drop, after painting a landscape of subtle dub chords, dreamy Ultraworld-esque arpeggios float over the final third of the track, shifting gears without garishly redlining.

Accompanying Jetstream is Barletta. Where the former is dreamy, it slides down the tempo ever so slightly, introducing machine funk and an ever so slight horror chill.

Complimenting the package is a trio of remixes. Wolf Trap boss, Tim Cook under Sousk guise, picks up on the melodic outro of Jetstream and turns it into the focus, turning in a masterful thirteen minute emotional epic with just a hint of classic Northern Exposure era trance.

Also tackling Jetstream is Sebastian Albrecht. This Berlin based artist – and owner of the Park Recordings label – was picked up on by Lucidflow owners Klartraum when playing out live. His version breaks the tension of the package by dispensing with the 4/4 kick in favour of a sharply programmed break.

And no Lucidflow release is complete without the Klartraum pairing of Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch getting in on the action. Accomplished as ever, they tackled the spartan Barletta, broadening the sonic landscape with their excellent staging of audio in a remix that also eeks the drama out past the ten minute mark.

Releasing on the 2nd November 2015, Lucidflow are closing out the year in style.
