Chloé is an institution, an electronic music artist suspended between genres and aesthetics unable to be categorized. With a style born from a true DJ culture and a strength of building a set with a personal vision, the French DJ and producer has developed a unique ear and sound distinctly her own. It is this sound that has led Chloé to being one of the most sought after artists on the contemporary music scene. To file her under ‘girl dj’ would be to miss the point, or to make one that isn’t necessary. Chloé’s accomplishments speak for themselves.

Beginning in the 1990s in Paris’ club scene Chloé steadily gained a following that today reaches far beyond France. By 2002 Chloé began releasing EPs and remixes and in 2007 her debut LP The Waiting Room (Kill the DJ) was released to critical praise. In 2010 Chloé released her second LP One in Other (Kill the DJ) which went on to be nominated for France’s most prestigious music award, Les Victoires de la Musique. Her extensive discography includes EPs released on Karat, BPitch Control, My Favorite Robot and Throne of Blood. Among her releases are also remixes for Alain Chamfort, Miss Kittin and Troy Pierce.

If it were in nightclubs across Europe that Chloé refined her talent as a DJ it was at the Music Academy in Paris studying electro acoustics that Chloé focused her talent as a musician. Her live audio-visual shows have seen her play in institutional art spaces and music venues throughout Europe including Paris’ Centre Pompidou where she performed her piece The Surreal and Its Echo live, taken from the project of the same name that was also released as a book with accompanying CD (editions Dis-Voir) in 2011.

Collaborating often within the world of cinema, dance and art Chloé has created exclusive sound pieces for the Cinemathéque de Paris and has worked with choreographers including Fabrice Ramalingum. In 2013 Chloé collaborated with contemporary artist Anri Sala on the critically acclaimed project Ravel Ravel Unravel, which was featured at the French pavilion at the Venice Biennale the same year.

Chloé’s eclectic incarnations within music have traversed many worlds but it’s as a DJ that Chloé has kept herself continuously at the forefront of electronic music, playing in Europe’s most prominent clubs and music venues such as Robert Johnson, Mondo and Fabric as well as regularly headlining on the festival circuit.

Chloé’s current residency is at Rex Club in Paris where she curates her party Lumière Noire with international DJs while continuing to evolve and expand her body of work and collaborations with others.
