javier orduna-the cloned wax bass_nightcolours_altroverso

Nightcolours Recordings drop their first record, a robust slab of house music from Javier Orduna. An artist who has worked recently with VIVa, Visionquest, Suruba, Rumours & Supplement Facts and for this record he plays a blinder.

This EP is all about textured grooves, steady funk and walking baselines. This is a soft and funky piece for any dancefloor, pads and bass flourish creating a warmth soundscape to lose yourself in. Stripped to the bare essentials of groove and beat this track still comes correct with bags of character and feeling.

Nottingham-born producer Inxec takes the reigns on the remix and after a slew of releasea on labels like coccoon, get physical & crosstown rebels you can see his quality at work here. Taking the remix into darker territory with a very stark machine drum feel to it, looped vocals and snare fills lay the landscape for the baseline to bring it all together – the bassline is very much a mechanical sequence, tightly knitted with the feel of the groove.

Javier rounds up this inaugural EP with the sunshine track All together. Bringing the feel of an old tribal track like Yeke Yeke as you find yourself pounding the sand between your feet as the sun sets over the ocean. Classy stuff from the spanish producer.
