The third release in the Omnidisc series enlists the mysterious Cliff Lothar, whose originals and remixes have graced some of the world’s most respected underground labels, such as Skudge White, Viewlexx, M>O>S and Turbo Recordings.

Cliff is a hugely respected underground producer, whom in spite of his semi-anonymous status has garnered support from artists as disparate as John Talabot, Delta Funktionnen and Thom Yorke. His gritty, analogue driven sound makes him the perfect follow up to Omnidisc’s previous releases from Danny Daze and Drvg Cvltvre.

The title track is a full-bodied analogue excursion, with a dense wall of bendy sawtooths taking centre stage whilst melodic house organs weave in-and-out. Whilst this gives the track an oddly tender melodic slant, it’s not at the expense of dancefloor potency.

In ‘Slippin’’, brittle hi-hats rub up against an immensely satisfying low-end squelch. Gradually, a menacing array of eerie synth-lines creep into the fray, their tendrils slowly wrapping around its brittle foundation of hollow kicks, snares and claps.

‘Bona-Feed’s trippy assembly of arps glisten and fizz around each other, whilst Lothar skillfully tempers the sub-bass in tandem with shimmering sonic artifacts which cascade and tumble into the ether.
