“Mallorca’s ever-active Sub_Urban add to their balmy back catalogue and ready the second release in their ‘Soul Wagon’ VA series. With the first including family members Campaner, Guri, Eider, Wiki & Oneplus and Gaol, the second keeps things close to home and includes Lomez and Christian Lamper as well as newcomer Luv Machines.

Kicking things off is Russian born Christian Lamper whose insatiable drive for new sounds sees him turn his astute production skills to ‘Dog Chord’, a 90’s tinged House track propelled by rolling piano stabs and a thick, forceful bass stab. Next up is Sub_Urban mainstay Lomez who offers up ‘Hippodrome’, a gambolling, delayed bass pattern that bubbles under playful synth work and syncopated bongos before a new addition to the Sub_Urban team; Luv Machines weigh in with ‘Shadows’, a steadily blooming groove as brooding as it is warming.

Sub_Urban all-stars Wiki, Oneplus and Guri all team up with songstress Eider for the aptly titled ‘Home’ that grows patiently across it’s extended duration. Passages of deep and moody chord shifts are coloured with Eider swooning vocal melodies that work to bolster the release and bring another Sub_Urban coup to a close.”
