Marco Unzip – Lost In My Space

In April 2015 Bologna based dj/producer Marco Ligurgo aka Marco Unzip will release his debut EP “Lost In My Space” on his own imprint Random Numbers.

Marco started djing back in the Ninties with pseudonym Unzip Project. Under the same moniker he released 2 Eps on Tenax Rec and Minisketch labels. Resident dj at Link and Cocorico, he’s also been spinning records at Zanzibar, “Playhouse” Nights and Berlin clubs as Bar 25 and Watergate. Marco is also very active as a promoter, being the Art Director of roBOt Festival. He’s recently gone back to producing new music, both on his own and teaming up with fellow Berlin producer Toby Neumann (their project’s called ToCo and their debut release is due next June on Mike Shannon’s Haunt Music).

“Lost In My Space” EP is the result of quite a few long recording sessions in Marco’s new home studio during the past winter. It is a hardware based record: all the sounds come from analog synths, drum machines and effects racks. The result is a hypnotic trip that will take you to a different space. The music shows a series of Techno references, as dreamy and dark as in “Flight Of Seagull” and “Polline”, as more droney and psychedelic as in “Drone Connection”, or winking at electro as in “Survive”.

All the tracks are 120bpm, one more example of how much Marco Unzip style is imbued with the idea of psychedelic trippin’. Get lost in Marco Unzip’s Space!
