ZDS is Zombie Disco Squad, a thirty something DJ and producer from London who has a fine musical CV and here cooks up two more killer cuts for the always-impressive Hive Audio label.

Having been resident at Panorama Bar before most people even knew what it was, he really knows how to work a floor and pours all that into his productions.
Up first is Rok Stuff, which is a full fat house track with lots of rattling drums, energetic vocal cries and slick percussive patterns.

Bold and metallic, in your face and sweat making, it’s a club classic in the making. On the flip side is Spun Out, which is a magical wonderland of off kilter samples, curious vocals, loopy baselines and colourful chord stabs.

Riding up and down on an undulating groove, it is a fresh proposition that doesn’t rely on the usual tired tropes and excels as a result. Overall then, a fine EP.
