Hot Creations call upon VIVa boss Steve Lawler for their next release, rounding 2014 off with a bang – an amazing year for the leading label. With such a widespread knowledge of music and the industry, here Lawler gives us a musical education. ‘House Record’ is a dose of old school 80s house injected with a modern twist with ‘City Nights’ following suit on the B-side. There is no doubt both tracks will dominate the dance floor at peak time, capturing each heart with their infectious bouncing basslines, pacey percussions and all round feel good energy.
o+ Steve Lawler’s career has been long and successful. Ever since his days throwing illegal raves under the M42 motorway in the early 90s, he has made a huge imprint on the underground scene. The first class DJ has held residencies at Cream, The End and Space Ibiza, began his own label VIVa Music and has an extensive back catalogue of amazing music to be proud of. Steve is as highly in demand today as ever and still pushing the boundaries of what a DJ, artist and businessman can be, both technically and creatively.
o+o His music can be found on highly respected labels such as R&S Record, Drumcode, Cocoon, OVUM, Rekids, Soma, and of course his own imprint VIVa MUSiC. He also has a huge release dropping on Seth Troxler’s Play It Say It at the end of this year. Remixes of high profile artists such as Jamelia, Dido and Justin Timberlake can also be found.
