H-Foundation are back with a great new single on their regular label home, Siesta, and it comes with a standout selection of remixes including names likes DJ Sneak, Yousef, Franck Roger, Adam Shelton, Craig Richards, DJ Buck and Space Coast.

Eric Galaviz and Brian Varga are H-Foundation aka Hipp-E & Halo, the influential American house duo who helped shape the electronic landscape around the turn of the last millennium. Releasing on labels like NRK, Siesta and Soma, the greatest statement of their sound came in 2002 with the pair’s entry into the hallowed fabric mix series and in recent times they have very much put themselves back in the map.

In original form the ‘Hear Dis Sound’ single is a humid bit of tropical house with rude boy vocals layered over a burrowing house beat. Rattling percussion and long tailed pads create a fairly intense mood and the track just rolls on and on. IN the latter half jazzed up keys add more colour and charm and define this as a sure fire end of summer anthem.

First to remix is House Gangster DJ Sneak, who goes tough and loopy with his Chicago leaning re-rub, then Circus chief Yousef gets all choppy and cut up on his turbo charged, bass heavy and rave remix, Real Tone boss and French house pin up Franck Roger opts for a bulky, trippy tech house take on things, Birmingham’s One records boss Adam Shelton keeps things chunky, dubbed out and groove based, fabric resident Craig Richards gets all slowed down, alien and outer space on his druggy remake and DJ Buck layers in organic toms and rattling hand drums over his sliding and gliding west coast house beats. Lastly, Space Coats gets deep and serene on what is one of many get remixes here, closing out a truly essential package.
