This June will see the launch of Zulos Club Records with Spanish duo Frann Delice and Gaol’s ‘Yupi’s World’.

Zulos Club has been a driving force in Mallorca’s underground electronic music scene since the turn of the millennium, over the companies near 14 years hosting events it has welcomed the likes of Catz’ N Dogz, Nikola Gala, Mr.C, Chelonis R. Jones and Mike Monday to grace the decks. Now after such a successful run on the promoter front, we see Zulos Club launch its imprint, a platform for the label associates to release their material.

To kick off the imprint Frann Delice & Gaol offer up ‘Yupi’s World’, translated from the Spanish phrase, ‘El Mundo De Yupi’, an idiom meaning to be in an imaginary, crazy world. This title is rather fitting for the material with its wild and frantic feel, as the composition is built around gritty drum samples constructed to form a penetrating and tumultuous groove, while growling bass tones and murmuring low-pitched vocals add an additional drive to the record. A further unique charm is then added to the cut through baroquely processed vocal lines, which are intricately delayed, filtered and reverberated throughout the tracks seven- minute duration.
