The Sub_Urban label, which was born out of an underground party crew’s antics around Mallorca and Spain, is happy to serve up its next EP, this time from Christian Lamper. Featuring two originals and two remixes, the EP continues in the labels good tradition of releasing fresh house and techno.

German born, Russia based Lamper has been producing and DJing for almost a decade now, releasing an exciting house and tech blend on labels like Manuscript and We Make Names.

Up first is ‘Surroundings’, a colourful bit of airy house music with lush melodies, positive vocals and tons of spring like found sounds from bird calls to cool summer breezes.

Lamper’s ‘Break Away’ is the other original and is a sombre, hymnal bit of deep house, The sad bassline brings tones of heart ache to the rueful vocals and dusty hi hats. Wilting synths add to the downbeat vibe overall and this one truly is a heartfelt offering.

This one gets remixed first by Guri & Gaol into a slightly more colourful and upbeat jam but its just as deep and emotive from start too finish. Secondly, Sebas Ramis & Campaner also rework the track, this time into an elastic and spacious house jam that invitingly laps away with its warm grooves and keen percussive invention.

This is a classy package from the Sub_Urban label that is right on trend.
