Kai Kurve’s roots are in guitar music. After playing the cellars and garages of his hometown as a teenager, he took the melodies in his head and translated them into electronic music. As part of the directors team Wolf & Lamm, Kai produces music for the eyes during daytime and builds beats for the feet at night. Dirty Doering, Lexy & K-Paul, Oliver Koletzki booked Kai as director for their music videos, Stil vor Talent and Katermukke publish his releases.
Oddvar’s story starts with guitar music as well. But more and more enamoured with club music each passing year, Oddvar spent his late teens quietly honing his DJ skills. Looking for inspiration and club culture, Oddvar finally moves to Berlin. After relocating Oddvar split his time equally between the study of Audio Production, and the study of clubland in techno institutions such as Berghain, Arena Club and Watergate. It is the experiences of those nights in Berlin that have shaped Oddvar’s sound. Oddvar & Kai Kurve’s sound combines the organic elements of their musical influences with forceful beats. The two musicians complement each others rhythms and build tracks that seem to live and breathe. It is the sound of that positive melancholy in the last hour before sunlight when crowd and beat melt into one.
